About Netball Taranaki
Taranaki is one of the country’s largest netball playing provinces. With almost 600 teams involved in Netball we host competitions at our six locations around the mountain – New Plymouth, Waitara, Inglewood, Stratford, Hawera and Opunake.
Netball Taranaki has more than 6,000 members across all levels of competition. Social and competitive leagues take place throughout the year, our representative teams compete around New Zealand, Mixed Leagues continue to grow and the popular Mother Earth futureFERNS programme introduces children to our sport. We have introduced a Men's League to diversify our sport and to create a pathway for boys and we are committed to be innovative in the delivery of Netball in Taranaki.
Netball Taranaki is a Regional Sports Organisation in the Sport NZ framework and is a member of Netball Central and Netball New Zealand. Our administration office is based at Sport Taranaki in Westown and we deliver development and learning opportunities directly to our Satellites or from our facilities at Waiwhakaiho Park in New Plymouth.
Netball Taranaki is a community based 'Not for Profit' organisation that is largely funded by NZCT and TSBCT and like all other community organisations we rely on the support and relationships with our sponsors, partners, funding agencies and trusts.
