Umpiring is a vital part of Netball and is a means of keeping order within a match. It is an engaging way to maintain fun on the court in a safe way. From beginners to NZ level umpires, it is a perfect way to be involved.​​​​​​​​​​​​​

 All Taranaki umpires must be registered

To become a 'Registered Umpire' you must:

• Pass the Netball NZ Learning to Umpire Module (replaces online Centre Theory test). 
• ​​​​​​​Attend a Good Call Rules class (online or face to face) 

Registered Umpire qualifications are valid for 4 Years from the date of completion, unless there is a major rule change by Interntional Netball Federation (INF) then an update will be required.
