Walking Netball

It's never too late to try something new!

Our free Walking Netball Programme offers a low impact approach for participants to get back into the game. Whether you are returning from injury, coming out of retirement, looking at wanting to get fit or simply wanting a bit of social time to make friends then Walking Netball is for you.

We welcome Male and female participants, minimum age of 12years. Our current participant is 74 years old.

We offer a fun and safe enviroment for all. Sessions include player led facilitation offering modified Netball Smart and Netball Skills to suit all participants.

You can register as a team or individual player. If you are looking at wanting to enter a team please email Zara at  ndc@netballtaranaki.org.nz

Where: 
Waiwhakaiho Park Netball Courts, New Plymouth (parking available on Raiomiti Street)

When: 
Tuesday nights from 6.00pm-7.00pm


Cost: 

FREE of charge 


Rules:
- No running or jumping
- One foot must be on the ground at all times
- Player can hold the ball for up to 4 seconds
- All other standard netball rules apply
- 4 x 8 minute quarters (some flexibility depending on numbers on the night means there may be more playing periods for shorter time)


Players:
This competition is open to everyone! Minimum age is 12 years. You only have to register yourself, no need to find players for a team as we sort teams out on the night, but feel free to bring some friends.

- No uniforms necessary & bibs are supplied. 
- Teams are compiled on the night so just turn up! 
- Rolling subs allowed as required. 
- Come and try as a wee taster - with any luck you'll get hooked! 


What to bring:
1. Your favourite workout appropriate gear
2. Trainers (or acceptable footwear). Call ahead if you're not sure
3. Water bottle
