How do I register to trial for the 2023 season?
Registrations are due to open in March 2023. Keep an eye out on our facebook page for announcements.
How do I qualify for representative trials?
Trialists must trial for their relevant age group only.
The following explains the age criteria for all age groups to be considered for selection -
U16 Age Group (Female and Mixed) - - Must be 14 years of age or older on 1 January 2023
U14 Age Group (Female) - - Must be 12 years of age or older on 1 January 2023
U18 Age Group (Female) - - Must be 16 years of age or older on 1 January 2023
Open Age Group (Female) - - Must be 18 years of age or older on 1 January 2023
You must be registered in 2023, fully financial and actively playing for a current school or club affiliated to the 2023 Netball Taranaki Satellite Competition or 2023 Netball Taranaki Premier Competition.
What if I can't make the trial dates?
We encourage that you make yourself available to attend both trials so that you get the best chance to be seen.

What are the costs for the representative programme in 2023?
Fees are determined prior to representative trials at an overall cost prior to funding. Final costs will be communicated with successful applicants which can differ from the overall costs as funding is not included in that information.
Keep an eye out on our social media platforms and website for announcements regarding trials.
When are trainings?
Trainings are determined by the appointed coach and selected players discretion of availability. They could be 1.5 hours to 2 hours twice a week, please consider this as you register. This information will be gathered as soon as teams are announced.
What happens next?
- Successful trialists will be notified and emailed following trials, following acceptance; teams will then be announced via our Facebook Page and Website.
- The Representative Launch Weekend is on Saturday 13th May from 4pm to Sunday 14th May 2022 at Whakaahurangi Marae, Stratford. All successful trialists must attend.
- Training will commence the following week and coaches will make contact to confirm those details.

- Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 June 2023 - Marjorie Jenden Tournament hosted by Netball Wellington Centre at Hataitai Netball Courts.
- Sunday 11 June 2023 - Betty Steffensen Tournament hosted by Netball Manawatu at Vautier Park, Palmerston North.
- Sunday 25 June 2023 - Netball Whanganui Tournament hosted by Netball Whanganui at Laird Park Netball Courts, Whanganui.
- Sunday 25 June 2023 - Dale Wortman Invitational Fixtures hosted by Netball Wellington Centre at Akau Tangi, Wellington.
- Sunday 2 July to Tuesday 4 July 2023 - North Island Junior Championships hosted by Netball Taranaki at Waiwhakaiho Park Netball Courts, New Plymouth.
- Monday 10 July - Thursday 13 July 2023 - Netball NZ U18 Championship hosted by Hamilton Netball Centre, Hamilton.
- Sunday 20 August - Netball Wellington Open Grade Fixtures hosted by Netball Wellington Centre at Akau Tangi, Wellington
- Tuesday 5 September - Saturday 9 September 2023 - NZ Police Open Age Netball Championships hosted by Dunedin Netball at Edgar Centre, Dunedin.
