MALE PLAYERS. SOMETHING EXCITING IS COMING!

We already welcome male participation in all our competitions and programmes across all of our Taranaki Satellites. This includes Saturday Satellite competition, development programmes, Spring and Summer league and Walking Netball.

Behind the scenes for 2026 we are working on something exciting to re-establish male participation in netball beyond our Junior Competitions.

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT MIXED PROGRAMME

Netball Taranaki offer a range of player development opportunties for males from Year 1 - U18's

 Woolworths futureFerns Y1-8

 Offers four different year groups for our junior Netball programme.

Futureferns is desgined to progress players though modified formats of Netball that recognises their stage of physical and mental development. The aim is not only to grow their Netball abilities but also to help with their overall physical literacy which includes confidence, motivation, knowledge and understanding and physical competence​​​​​​

Our In-School Programme offers sessions catered for mixed gender or single gender sessions, please get in touch with our development team to book a sessionto enable our boys to get involved in netball. 

Satellite Cup Programme​​​​​​​

Is for ALL U14 players, turning 12, 13 and 14 years old in 2024.

Is a 4 week programme.Offered in Hāwera, Inglewood, New Plymouth, Stratford and Waitara. (Subject to numbers).

Features a fun festival tournament day.

Player Development Programme

Aimed at years 7 and 8 netballers to assist and support transition into 7 aside netball.

Runs for 3 weeks in two locations - New Plymouth and Stratford.

Player Academy Programme

For all U16 and U18 players. Minimum age 15 years old.

4 weeks of sessions.At two locations New Plymouth and Stratford.
